Feature request collection

Postby Alex » Fri Dec 23, 2011 6:17 pm

We are frequently flooded with feature requests and created this thread to keep track of them. If you suggest a feature please follow these guidelines:

1. Read the list below, your suggestion is probably already on the list.
2. Keep it simple, feature suggestions should fit into one line.
3. The importance of a feature is defined by how many people request it, not by how important you think it is.
4. Don't ask for release dates. Follow us on http://www.facebook.com/xewton or http://www.twitter.com/xewton to be the first to know when we have something to show.

Composers who mostly use the piano-roll editor have other priorities than live performers or musicians who connect MIDI gear to their devices. We are aware of that and try to advance in every direction in order to make Music Studio the best mobile DAW in the known universe ;)

I'd love to see support for meter change within a song.

That's the "tempo track" feature, already on the list.

It's called a step sequencer (or step editor). This has already been discussed here:

Hey great app, I just have one small request. Add marching drums!! Like marching snares, tenors(multi-toms), and marching basses. That'd be amazing! And like a drum rudiment generator? I dunno, just please add marching drums. Thank you!

I love this app, thanks for this great job.
I use it for live playing as backing track with "Irig Midi" for connect it to my keyboard.

I'll be glad if theses features will be add :

- "Start", "Stop" and "Continue" midi message recognition.
- "Count In" option for playback (the same as recording)
- Save the "Split Point" with the song

Thanks for all,

I love the ipad app. Very nice sounds. My request is to add some good jazz resources. Straightforward Latin loops and more classic jazz keyboard sounds. Hammond, Rhodes, etc. I don't see a decent ballad loop either.

That said, I really appreciate the quality of the sounds that are included. The horn sounds are quite good. Most synth software has terrible horns. Congrats on that.

Hammond organ and a Rhodes (called Vintage E-Piano) are already in the in-app instrument shop.

Great app!

I'm using a Tascam US800, which is recognized nicely. I would like to record say only 2 mono tracks (guitar and vocals), but I can only seem to do 1 mono, 1 stereo, or 8 mono. So I end up with 6 empty files extra...

Could we assign tracks to inputs better so I could create 2 tracks, and assign them to desired inputs, and not have a bunch of extras?

Or maybe a list of the 8 tracks on the record popup, with checkboxes on each.
